Project Objectives
- Create an online presence for the MTV Puberty animated shorts
- Debut the animated shorts
The Concept
MTV and Director Clay Weiner approached WDDG to concept a website for an animated series launched in March called “Puberty.” As the name conveys, the show and its characters explore the humorous, awkward, and embarrassing aspects of adolescence that everyone can relate to. Responsible for all site design and development, WDDG was tasked with representing the show’s premise, while still conveying the endearing nature of each character. In addition to character profiles and videos, the site also includes a viral application and game.
Results
The site was praised by critics in the on-air and online industry as a successful representation of original content. While puberty is a time that most people would love to forget, the work inspires people to reminisce fondly and take a walk down memory lane.

Character Pages
Each character is featured on their own page within the website. There, you can read about their personality and see them in their "natural environment." This is where you can also access a short movie clip about each character. Two character pages, Fart & Whiz, also feature games.
Special attention was paid to the artwork chosen for each character's environment...
Fart Game
The main objective of the Fart Game is to be a simple, silly exercise in creating ridiculous fart noises, and then sharing it with friends. There's no point system, no way to challenge others, it's simple a quirky experiment in seeing what can make up such joyous noises. With this game, Fart's cute personality really comes alive!
Whiz Game
Whiz has that extra skip in his step and taunting personality that only a game like "Piss on Da Whiz" could capture. With this game, the objective is to aim your stream of whiz into Whiz, the urinal. The whiz meter in the upper left tracks just how much ammo you have left in your bladder.
On-Air Promos
Aside from the videos posted to the web, there were also movie clips that were aired on MTV as on-air promos. Clips created by Hornet Inc. and Clay Weiner.
